Toshiba Palmer, attended Gordon Phillips Beauty School & Tri City barber school in Philadelphia, Pa. At 18 yrs. old, she opened “Toshiba’s Beauty and Barber Salon”, including a barber school program managed by her former Barber Instructor, Howard Myers. At 21 she relocated to Atlanta, GA. She worked in many salons and barbershops (Marion Summers Design Team, First Class Barbershop, Nubiance, and The Hair Zone) to name a few. In 2001, she was recruited by a corporate rep. from Luster products to become a platform artist for “S-Curl”.
In 2001 she began her journey of nonprofit work… “2nd Blessings Image Makeovers” which she started in 2001. She attended a training course at The Non-Profit Training Institute @ Clark Atlanta. She spent years building a network of over 900 volunteers which include: cosmetologists, barbers, students, schools, shop owners reaching from Atlanta, Georgia to Alabama. They provide grooming services for shelters, group homes, senior centers, and other government funded agencies such as: Gateway, Atlanta Mission, Salvation Army, O’Hearn House, My Sister’s House, and many other agencies.
Toshiba is a licensed Cosmetology and Barbering Instructor. She has taught at schools such as Atlanta Technical College, Esani (Paul Mitchell), and other Atlanta area schools. In 2013, she completed the evaluator training with the National Accrediting Commission of Arts & Sciences (NACCAS). She now teaches Cosmetology and leads the Barber / Cosmetology Student Educator Program at Proway Hair School.
She is committed to providing phenomenal training to upcoming professionals while pursuing greatness in this field.

Karlynn Lancaster has been in the beauty industry for the last 23 years. She began her career in Cosmetology in the 80’s in her hometown of New Orleans, Louisiana. She attended L.E. Rabouin Vocational High School then completed her education at The Academy of Scientific Hair Design. In 1998 she became the proud owner of her own salon, Upscale Hair Studio where she would spend countless hours mastering her style and business skills. In 2005, she was tragically impacted by Hurricane Katrina which demolished her home and business. This forced her and her family to relocate to Atlanta, Georgia. She began working in salons in Stone Mountain and shortly after enrolled in Proway Hair School to further her education and acquire her Cosmetology Instructor license. Through PERSERVERANCE & DEDICATION she completed her training and is now the most valuable instructor at Proway Hair School…The Cosmetology State Board Preparation Instructor. She not only prepares the students through theory and practical training, but she builds up their inner confidence and empowers them to know that they are destined for greatness! She plans all the graduations… where even the strongest person in the room sheds tears. Karlynn has maintained a 100% student passing rate for as long as she has been the State Board Instructor. She has collected 7 NIC certifications where she studies and strategically teaches every aspect required for successful testing.
Karlynn has a great passion for the beauty industry. She loves teaching and she makes it FUN and exciting in a creative way. She is patient with every student and never gives up on anyone.

Mr. Whitfield has been a barber for over half of his life. He enjoys this profession and has a passion for it with all his heart; that is the reason he choose to become a professional educator. He attended Pro Way Hair School and completed the Jr. Instructor Program in 2009. He is very ambitious and determined to achieve any goal that he sets. He has participated in Hosea Feed the Hungry as well as the 2nd Blessings Image Makeovers Organization. He is happy as well as excited about the profession he has chosen and very eager to learn as much as he can. He strives to become the best Barber Stylist Educator he can Be.

Sharone Ward is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. She is a very compassionate, dedicated and organized person. She has been in the Cosmetology Industry for 22 years and is very passionate about her career. Sharone trained in Cosmetology with The Academy Nail Design Inc., and Proway Hair School. She has been licensed by the Georgia State Board as a Nail Technician (22) years, Master Cosmetologist (16) years and Cosmetology Instructor (12) years. Sharone believes it is very important to educate clients about the importance of maintaining the health of their hair, skin, and nails in between salon visits.
Sharone also has a background in Nursing. Her experience in nursing has contributed to her acquiring an immeasurable amount of knowledge about the human molecular composition, anatomy, physiology, and body chemistry. Sharone has had the opportunity and experience of being Director & Learning Leader at (Esani) Arnold Padrick’s University of Cosmetology (known as Paul Mitchell, Esani). She also led the Cosmetology for CTAE Program at Fulton County High School where she was elected, Teacher of The Year. She recently completed Empire Educational Group Training for Educators and is currently on the substitute list for several institutions. Sharone is well rounded from the classroom science to the clinical floor salon and business management, to reciting safety and sanitation. Sharone has experience in program planning, seminars, classroom presentations, and providing performance evaluations and reviews. She continues to enhance her skills through ongoing education, seminars, and one-on-one training sessions with top industry professionals. She is constantly seeking educational opportunities to stay on top of the latest advancements in technology and style trends within the field of Cosmetology. She absolutely loves her field of work and strives to consistently deliver high quality training that will prepare upcoming professionals for a successful career in Cosmetology.

Jolanda Millen Murray is a master barber of 20 plus years and barbering instructor. She received her barbering and barbering instructor license from Profile Institute of Hair Care in Atlanta Georgia. She also attended Georgia Southern University for a short period and practiced barbering there. She started at a very young age cutting hair, as a teenager she worked in salons as a shampoo assistant. She started barbering professionally in 1994.
Jolanda Millen Murray has passion for barbering and has acquired different skills pertaining to the barbering industry, such as maintenance on clippers and producing products for barbering. She specializes in the art of barbering and also in the motivation of students to reach their full potential in barbering practicum and theory.
